actually i was undecided over which posters to go for.
i created 3 posters using photoshop
with Piet Mondrian's style of lines and boxes.
also, with my style of videography and overlaying pictures.
the videography pictures especially, are pictures that best represent my style.
the reason why i designed my poster in this way is that,
i wanna infuse a 'flowing' feel of storyboard.
and this storyboard is encased in a Piet inspired lines and boxes.
all in all, the pictures in the storyboard were carefully selected so as to create a
storyboard kinda feeling.
i believe in inspiration, and i can say that Piet Mondrian really impressed and inspired me into doing this new kind of storyboard. although not practical as yet, but my style and Piet's style are infused into this poster. below are my development works.
i still think tt they can be put up too... :p

Hi guys! My chosen designer is Piet Mondrian. This is the picture of him(right) and his works(above).
And these are some basic information about him. Enjoy!
Piet Mondrian, 1939
Piet Mondrian (March 7, 1872 – February 1, 1944) was a Dutch painter and an important contributor to the De Stijl art movement, which was founded by Theo van Doesburg. Despite being well-known, often-parodied, and even trivialized, Mondrian's paintings exhibit a complexity that belie their apparent simplicity. He is best known for his non-representational paintings consisting of rectangular forms of red, yellow, blue, or black, separated by thick, black, rectilinear lines. They are the result of a stylistic evolution that occurred over the course of nearly thirty years, and which continued beyond that point to the end of his life. Netherlands 1872 - 1912 Born at Amersfoort in The Netherlands as Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan, he began his career as a teacher in primary education, but while teaching he also practiced painting. Most of his work from this period is naturalistic or impressionistic, consisting largely of landscapes. These pastoral images of his native Holland depict windmills, fields, and rivers, initially in the Dutch Impressionist manner of The Hague School, and then using a variety of styles and techniques documenting his search for a personal voice. These paintings are most definitely representational, and illustrate the influence that various artistic movements had on Mondrian, including pointillism and the vivid colors of fauvism.
Alrite guys! Basic info training is done. Now for more 'eye-training parts'!
the reason why i chose Piet Mondrian is his ability to create wonderful pieces of artwork using just lines, boxes and primary colours. Few designers nowadays would be able to do that isn't it??? admiration comes into play.
However! inspiration plays a part too! my philosophy of design is tt, inspiration plays a part. How true is tt???? TRUE!
p.s: next post, i would be touching more on my style as well as my works. stay tuned!
alrite peeps, its time to confirm and update you all on the poster im gonna do.
firstly, im gonna create a poster for my website, consisting of piet's style of primary colours and my style of repetition.
As im a aspiring film maker-student in temasek design school, i decided to include or rather, fuse one of my video projects into the poster. the final design isn't out yet. Therefore, wait and see!!
